Dale Hedgpeth is a world
renowned hunting consultant and booking agent and has been able to hunt
throughout the world and has been "stung" by misrepresented hunts and by
outfitters who do not or cannot produce what they advertise. As a result,
he is adamant about maintaining integrity in his company,

About the Outfitter This very personable
individual is a lifetime resident of Forks Washington located on the
westside of the Olympic Peninsula. He has been guiding for 21 years and
knows the area like the back of his hand. He was able to locate a
different heard of Elk every day that I hunted with him in October of
1998. He is a totally competent hunting guide to guide for Modern Firearm
Hunters as well as Bowhunters and Muzzleloaders. His Elk calling ability
is unsurpassed--knowing how to blow the various calls is one thing, but
knowing when to use each option at the exact right time and cadence is a
skill that few guides really know.

How The Hunts are Conducted The clients arrive in Forks, Washington and stay in the selected motel. The best restaurant in town is 100 yards away. It opens at 4:30 in the morning and will prepare ample sack lunches for the clients. The portions are fit for a lumberjack, but the prices are very reasonable indeed. The client is responsible for all meals during the hunting dates. The outfitter will pick up the clients at their rooms at the agreed upon time. The hunting is conducted in the abundant forests of the Olympic Peninsula beginning just a short distance from Forks. The logging roads interlace the forests which allows penetration into the deep Olympic forests. The hunt will be a combination of driving and walking into strategic sites to find the Elk herds or to intersect the elusive Blacktail Deer as it meanders through the foliage. The Bears are normally found in or near known berry patches or just a chance encounter as they are roaming around.
